Area residents tell ghost tales at paranormal ‘tour’
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) — Do you have a ghost story to tell?
It turns out that plenty of people in the Bay area do.
The popular A&E reality television show ‘Paranormal State’ is traveling around the country, soliciting ghost and paranormal activity stories from the public.
Show host Ryan Buell and company stopped in Tampa this week to hear Bay area resident’s stories.
“Ones that have a lot of activity,’ Buell said of what types of stories his show is looking for. “Ones that are very dangerous, where people are physically being touched, scratched or beaten, or if they’re very frightened and there are children involved.”
Poltergeists, demonic activity, ghosts and phantoms all made the list of topics talked about by local residents.
“We had our makeup cases dumped over, we had the water going on hot and cold, we had a light come on in the closet,” said Lori Pablo.
Said LeAnna Quinnell: “We still have phantom smells and all kinds of stuff and my brother actually saw a shadow figure of him in the doorway.”
And Ron Hampton took things a step further, invited a Bay News 9 TV crew to his home, where he says he has paranormal activity.
‘Something makes these things move and fall over and the voices on the recorder, I can’t explain it.”
His story is one of thousands being collected from the nationwide Paranormal State Tour.
Now he’ll wait to see if producers select him to be featured on the show.
“There’s something here,’ he said. “I would like to know what it is.”
